Sports Radio Network to webcast
2003 NWBL Draft |
Sports Radio Network continued to break new ground at the start of 2002. The internet-based station partnered with the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL) becoming the league's official broadcast carrier. With its exclusive live presentation of the 2002 league draft and the NWBL Pro Cup Tournament, Sports Radio Network reached a nationwide audience of fans, validating the rapidly growing appeal of women's professional sports. Most recently, Sports Radio Network and the African American Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame (AAESHOF) finalized a multi- year agreement to webcast all upcoming Hall of Fame events live on the internet. The agreement makes Sports Radio Network (http://www.sportsradionet.com) the official broadcast partner of the AAESHOF and calls for WSRN to provide the African American Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame internet and radio exposure by webcasting a wide array of Hall of Fame sponsored events; including the annual Super Bowl Celebrity Golf Tournament at the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., set for January 20, 2003, the Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, set for the weekend of July 11-12, 2003, which will take place this year in Philadelphia, Pa. Sports Radio Network and the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) also finalized a deal webcast men's and women's basketball for the upcoming 2002-2003 season. The internet station will webcast select regular season games and the NYCAC Tournament in March 2003. In 2003, Sports Radio Network will once again be home to the 2003 NWBL Draft and Pro-Cup tournament and will also expand its coverage to feature regular season games.
