T & D Sports and Sports Radio Network to produce Boy's and Girl's High School Basketball exclusively for the internet

Tape Delay of Video will be available on pay-per-view basis; Live audio will be available for free.

T&D Sports Video Productions, in conjunction with Sports Radio Network (WSRN), have reached an agreement to add High School Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball this winter to the web waves, producing the games exclusively for the internet.

The deal will call for the two companies to produce a seven game regular season package, and a to-be-announced playoff package, which will air exclusively on the internet.

An audio stream of each game will be webcast live, and then a video stream will be aired on an on-demand, pay-per-view basis the following day beginning at 7:00 PM. All coverage can be accessed from Sports Radio Network’s (http://www.sportsradionet.com) and T & D Sports Video Production’s (http://www.tdsportsvideo.com) official web-sites.

“This will be a brand new approach for how we bring basketball games to the fans, as we will be the only local media outlet to offer high school games live” said play-by-play announcer and Sports Radio Network’s CEO Rob Goldenberg. We will be able to effectively utilize the capabilities of the internet to broadcast games to an unlimited audience and we’ll be able to offer the video product quicker than anyone else in the market.”

This past season the two companies launched their internet product and produced a five game high school football package, which included exclusive coverage of two playoff games.

“The reaction to this product has already been very positive,” said Thomas A. Bruno, president of T & D Sports Video Productions. “The idea that we can show the games within such a short span of time and that the video will be available on demand is very appealing.”

The product has already gained local recognition, as Long Island’s Newsday published an article on the product and Goldenberg and Bruno appeared as guests on News 12 Long Island’s high school sports show The Rush.

“We are definitely gaining some momentum”, said Goldenberg. “Football was just the beginning for us. We have a deal in place already to webcast college basketball this season and we expect to announce a spring schedule, which will include lacrosse in the spring.”

The announced agreement between WSRN and T&D Sports Video Production continues to build on the two companies budding relationship. They teamed up to produce football games on Cablevision for each of the last four years.

College Basketball will also find its way onto the schedule, as live audio and video webcasts will be aired when Farmingdale State hosts St. Josephs on Monday, Jan. 9 in a doubleheader of men’s and women’s action and on Monday, Jan. 30 when Farmingdale State hosts rival Old Westbury in men’s basketball.

The High School games that have been confirmed to the web waves include; Ward Melville @ Lindenhurst on Saturday, Jan. 14, Walt Whitman @ Commack (Boys) on Tuesday, Jan. 14, Lindenhurst @ Brentwood (Boys) on Saturday, Jan. 21, Northport @ Commack (Girls) on Saturday, Jan. 28, Bellport @ Kings Park (Boys) on Saturday, Feb. 4, North Babylon @ Half Hollow Hills (Girls) on Friday, Feb. 10 and Floyd @ Lindenhurst on Tuesday. Feb. 14.

T & D Sports / WSRN will be releasing the upcoming playoff schedule by early next month.
